BECKER, MN

SEPTEMBER 22, 1930 – OCTOBER 31, 2020

Metzger, Keith Lorenz passed away on October 31, 2020 at Shepherd of Grace in Becker at the age of 90.  Keith was born on September 22, 1930 at home in Becker, MN to Lorenz and Gertrude (Henderson) Metzger.  Keith worked in farming, drove semi-trucks, drove school bus and was known for grading the gravel roads around Becker and mowing lawns at the Faith Lutheran Church in Becker where he was a member. Keith lived his entire life in the Becker area.  He married Judy Stacy and one son, Mark was born to this union.  They divorced and Keith married Gladys (Knutson) Hubbard in 1988 and became stepfather to Glady’s six children and “Grandpa Keith” to her grandchildren. 

One of Keith’s hobbies in his later years was woodworking. He made road graders and lawn ornaments and many other wood crafts.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gladys in 2015 and brother, Dennis.  He is survived by his son, Mark (Kimberly); grandchildren, Savanna and Adam; step children, Richard (June) Hubbard, Ron (Gayle) Hubbard, Helen (Mike) Brand, Norman (Gail) Hubbard, Diane Hubbard, Charlene (Tim) Doorn; brothers and sisters, Fred, David, Marjorie, Lucille, Carol and Joanne; also many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. 

A celebration of Keith’s life will be planned at a later date.
