Harley E. Lindsey, Age 82

Harley passed away on November 13, 2021, peacefully at home with his family by his side.

He was born on November 10, 1939, in Bemidji, MN to Donald & Gertrude (Page) Lindsey. The family moved to Garrison, ND for 12 years and then moved back to Nary, MN. He attended Bemidji High School. He married Sharon Lembke on September 29, 1963, they moved to Big Lake, MN. After Harley served his country for 2 years in the U.S. Army, they were blessed with 2 children. Harley worked for Cargill Research Farm at Elk River, MN for 27 years and Darter Plastics in Becker, MN for 10 years.

Harley enjoyed doing woodworking, birdwatching, fishing, watching western movies and spending time with family. Harley was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Norman.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Sharon; sons Gary (Marianne) of Becker, MN, and Jeffrey and significant other, Julie of Winona, MN; sister Marilyn Carlson of Baudette, MN; grandchildren Halle (Jade) Drews, Cooper (Robyn) Lindsey-Bainbridge, Emma, and Katelyn Lindsey, and Sheldon, Colten, and Preston Brand; great-granddaughter Norah May Drews; nieces & nephews; and other relatives & friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Peterson-Grimso Funeral Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello, MN, and 1 hour prior to service at church. Memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Saron Lutheran Church, 311 Lake Street South, Big Lake, MN. Interment at a later date in MN State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
