Ginny (Virginia) M. Weideman

Mass of Christian Burial for Ginny (Virginia) Weideman, 88, was Wed., Sept. 6, at Church of St. Luke, Clearwater. Visitation was at St. Luke's Tues., Sept. 3, with parish prayers followed by the rosary, and then prayers by the Clearwater American Legion Auxiliary Unit #323. Visitation was Wed. Fr. Dennis Backer presided, with burial in the parish cemetery following the service.

Ginny was born on the homestead farm in Clear Lake to Arvid and Helen (Imholte) Anderson. She had a zest for life, with many varied interests. Her greatest joy was marrying Gene on May 9, 1959, at St. Luke's, sharing her life with him for 49 years. Together they farmed, with Ginny raising pigs and other critters, along with tending their garden. She loved her dogs and cats.

She worked at Vision Ease for over 25 years. Ginny enjoyed baking decorative cakes and cookies, fishing, crafts, travel, and being with family and friends. Her faith was an integral part of her and provided much strength and comfort. She was dearly loved by Gene, her siblings, good friends, and three generations of nieces/nephews.

Ginny is survived by her sister Betty Storms, cousins, lifelong friends, foster daughter Cathy, and many, many nieces/nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene, and brother Raymond Anderson. Her legacy of abiding faith, love of family, and service to charity will live on in the lives of those she touched. Memorials are preferred to Church of St. Luke, Clearwater, Clearwater Food Shelf, or the Clearwater American Legion Post #323.
