Memorial Services will be at a later date for Donald “Don” W. Jacobson, age 85, who passed away peacefully Friday, June 17, 2022 at Shepherd of Grace Senior Community in Becker. There will be a private family burial at Snake River Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker.
Don was born on January 26, 1937 in Minneapolis to Edward and Ida (Quiel) Jacobson. He was united in marriage to WaltAnne Benedum on September 25, 1959. Don proudly served our country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne. He lived most of his life in Becker and worked as an Iron Worker for Champion Erectors. Don retired in 1990. He enjoyed looking for the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine in Superstitious Mt, AZ. Don also enjoyed nature, fishing in Alaska, golfing, bird watching, and wintering in Arizona. He was a direct man who was a great provider and hard worker. One of his accomplishments in life was writing his own book called “The Lost Dutchman Mine In Plain View.”
Don is survived by his wife, WaltAnne of Becker; children, Clayton (Christine Lou) Jacobson of Becker, and Marjorie (Gene) Greniger of Becker; grandchildren, Brianna, Tia, Timothy, Lauren, Joseph, and Grace; great grandchildren, Brynlee, Harley, Scarlett, Talon, Lucian, and Xavier; and siblings, Merrill of St. Paul and Melvin of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John; daughter, Beth; brothers, Richard, Edward; and sister, Annelie.
