BIG LAKE, MN

MARCH 25, 1951 - JANUARY 11, 2021

Don passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by family on January 11, 2021.

Don was born in Princeton, MN to Roberta and Lawrence Orrock on March 25th, 1951. He graduated from Big Lake High School in 1969 and received a bachelor's degree from Winona State University. Don worked in the nuclear energy industry his entire career and retired as a Sr. Nuclear Fuel buyer for Xcel Energy.  He was very active in the Big Lake community serving on the Big Lake Planning Commission, City Council and two terms as Mayor. After retiring as Mayor in 2008 Don remained involved in the community through volunteering for the Jaycees, Lions club and Spud Fest organizations.

Don is survived by his son Nick (Liz) Orrock, his son Jayme (Keri) Orrock, his four grandchildren: Hunter, Peyton, Mykenzie and Karter, as well as many other loving brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Don is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Orrock, mother Roberta Orrock, and daughter Ciara Orrock.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, pending COVID restrictions when it is safe for all to attend.
