Don was born January 26, 1943 in Wenatchee, WA, to Lloyd and Claudia (Bradt) Hemming.  He leaves behind his wife, Bonnie, of 52 years and his two children: Kari (Ken) Voigt of Annandale, MN, and Cori (Trisha) Hemming of Clearwater, MN.  He leaves grandchildren: Brooke (Devon) Dell, Bryan (Kelly) Voigt, Brandon Voigt, Alexis Hemming, Tiffany, Maddie, and Zac Chapman.  He is also survived by his sisters:  Linda (Ralph) Myhre and Deb Allen (Dan).  

 

Don’s father was in the Air Force so he grew up in many different locations.  He graduated from St. Charles High School in MN and taught in the St. Cloud School system for 33 years, 31 of those at Apollo High School.  He loved to fish, hunt, 4-wheel, turn beautiful wood bowls, garden, and most of all be with family and friends.  

 

A memorial service is being held Friday, Mar. 16 at 11am at Rejoice Lutheran Church 1155 Co Rd 75, Clearwater, MN. Visitation from 10am to 11am.
