A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Palmer Township Hall, 4180 105th Ave, Clear Lake, for Dennis S. Rothstein, age 68, of St. Cloud, who passed away on Sat., Sept. 8, at the St. Cloud V.A. Medical Center. Private burial will be held at a later date at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls.
Dennis was born on November 24, 1949 to Othmar and Matilda (Zormeir) Rothstein in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He graduated from the St. Cloud Technical High School in 1967. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and Honorably Served his country during the Vietnam War from 1968 until 1971. Dennis was united in marriage to Debra Bohlig on May 12, 1973. Dennis worked as a supervisor for Xcel Energy, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Becker American Legion Post #193 and a lifetime member of the St. Cloud East Side V.F.W. #4847.
Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his children and five grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quick wit and love of fishing at his lake home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Debra; children, Stephanie (Derek) Montague, of Elk River, and Mark (Angie), of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Elijah and Noah Montague, and Joey, Abbey and Chloe Rothstein; brother, Donny; sisters, Darlene (Jim) Meinert and Marlene (Jerry) Puchalla and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ronnie, Art and Arman.
