Beverly Ann Shorten, age 64, left us peacefully on August 19, 2021 to meet her maker and family in heaven. Beverly resided in Big Lake, MN and had a varied work history with everything from greenhouse nursery worker to 18-wheeler driver and to being an accountant for Long Haul Trucking in which she retired after 20+ years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, was an avid cribbage player, loved to socialize, and enjoyed everyone’s company.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bernie & Barb Nitzkorski and brother Brad. She is survived by her husband of over 32 years Jack Shorten; Son Jesse Burgess; step children Bill (Kris), Dawnette (Rick), Jason, Cassandra (Duane); sisters Bonnie (Rick), Becky (Tom), Belinda (Jim), and brother Barry (Donelle) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends and greatly missed by her two cats. A special thanks to all the Centracare hospice nurses and staff. Memorials preferred to Centracare hospice or your favorite charity.
A celebration of life will be held at The Buff in Big Lake on October 3rd from 1-5pm.
