Barbara Jean (Orton) Whitcomb ended her earthly journey to join Our Heavenly Father in her new journey on October 20, 2014 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

 

Barb was born in Princeton, MN to Elwood and Dorothy (Wiley) Orton on July 9, 1964.

 

Barb enjoyed life! Her time on Earth was always a journey, seeking the next adventure. She married, David, her best friend and soul mate on June 11, 1983, and they had 31 amazing years together, sharing all life had to offer. Barb and Dave have 3 children, Amanda, Kyle, and Kelsey, whom she loved and adored. After waiting and waiting, Barb was blessed with 2 beautiful granddaughters, Aria and Brooklyn, and they gave her strength to keep fighting.

 

Barb loved to spend time at her cabin, which she lovingly nicknamed, Beavernaw. She worked at Option, Inc. in Big Lake, MN and always said it was more than just a job. It was a place where people needed her. 

 

Barb was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Orton, her infant brother, and many family members whom she was excited to see again.
