Arlyss Elaine Abrahamson

Arlyss Elaine Abrahamson, age 86 of Santiago, passed away Friday, September 8, at her home with family and friends by her side. Arlyss was born on August 20, 1931, in Greenbush Township, the daughter of Ed and Mabel (Talberg) Stay.
 
Arlyss graduated from Princeton High School in 1949. She worked at Twin City Arsenal, and Federal Cartridge for 34 years. She married Bernard Abrahamson at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in 1949. Arlyss enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, flower gardening, attending softball games, watching the Minnesota Twins, and feeding the birds. She was a great hostess who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her faith was important to her. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
 
Arlyss is survived by her daughter Judy (Paul Hans); sister Luella Peterson; brother Roger (Marlene) Stay; brother-in-law Ray Halverson; nephews, Leslie Peterson, David George, Jeff and Craig Stay, Jerry, Joel, Jim and Doug Abrahamson; nieces; Gwen Severson, Audrie Lambert, Carolyn Stay, and her faithful companions Champ and Betty.
 
She is preceded in death by Bernard her husband of 68 years; her parents; son-in-law Gerald Nelson, brothers Russell and Leslie Stay; sister Evelyn Halverson, nephews; Duane Stay, Dick and Lee Abrahamson, and great nephew Chad Abrahamson.
 
Visitation will be two hours prior to the Funeral Service. Funeral Service will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 2.4 miles east of Santiago on Co. Road 3. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton.
