Albert passed away on December 30, 2020 at Monticello Care Center in Monticello, MN. Albert was born on May 26, 1933 in Lampson, Wisconsin to parents Homer “Jack” and Grace (Mullenix) Shonyo. Albert married Jean (Davis) on February 26, 1955. He served in the Army for 2 years in Washington State. They moved back to Minnesota where he began working in road construction and ended his career working for Progressive Contractors Inc. (PCI Roads). In his retirement years he enjoyed farming, going out to breakfast, playing cards and was an avid reader. He had a great sense of humor and always made us laugh. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Grace; sisters, June Galatz and Mary Mitchell; brothers, Harold, Donald and Russell Shonyo. Albert is survived by his wife, Jean; his children Gary (Marianne) Shonyo, Terry (Lynne) Shonyo, Susan (Kevin) Stein; grandchildren; Heather, Nathan, Jacob, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Melanie, Andrea and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Matykiewicz, Marion Bergstrom, and Margaret Levenhagen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  A memorial service will be held in the spring.
