A Zimmerman man died after he was hit by a vehicle in Livonia Township early Thursday morning.

Ian Patrick Anthony Hruzek, 33, was identified as the victim.

According to a release from the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, Hruzek was walking north across Sherburne County Road 4 near the intersection of CR 39. He was hit by a vehicle traveling west on County Road 4 at around 6:58 am.

Lifesaving efforts were made at the scene, however, they were unsuccessful and Hruzek was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Hruzek has been identified as Susan Agnus Morse, 49, of Zimmerman. She was not injured.

Morse remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The case remains under investigation.
