When disaster strikes, call the 25 year experts

25 years ago, if disaster struck one’s home, one would need two companies to help one recover.  One company would handle the clean-up and mitigation and another would handle the construction.

Twenty-five years ago, Kelly and Justine Fisher worked at two separate businesses.  Kelly worked in construction and Justine worked in clean-up and mitigation at another restoration company.  Because Kelly often worked on the same homes as Justine, they decided to create a company that did both.  In 1999, they founded Royal Renovations, a business they have owned and operated for 25 years now.  Originally they worked out of their home shop in Becker.  In 2002, they moved into their current location in Clear Lake.

Though the original location of their business has changed, Royal Renovations continues to remain the same family owned and operated business that it has been since it’s founding.  Their focus has remained the same as well.

As it says on their website, “Royal Renovations is committed to exceeding all expectations and guarantee a highly satisfied customer through the complete process.”  That means they work with their customers and their insurance companies to make sure that they receive an immediate response to their individual needs.

Every situation is unique and Royal Renovations works to be flexible enough to resolve any situation whether it be fire or water damage, content restoration, sewer or drain backup, mold remediation, storm damage, trauma scene cleanup, or carpet cleaning.  Again, their website says, “We treat your home or business and personal belongings with the best care and to help ensure that we can restore them to their pre-loss condition.”

General Manager Rudy Brambrick explained how recent storms have affected their business.

“The last few years, we’ve had a lot of flooding just because of the amount of rain we’ve had,” she said.  “We’ve had a lot of ice dams from the amount of snow we’ve had two winters ago.  We’ve had a lot of storm damage this year.”

“We’ll never be a storm chasing company,” Brambrick added, “All of our referrals are from insurance companies or from relationships that we’ve built from out in the community.”

Brambrick has been with the company for six years and really appreciates being a part of the Royal Renovations family which is now a family of 15 employees.

On September 28, 2024, Royal Renovations will celebrate their 25th Anniversary by hosting an Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  They have many family-friendly activities planned for all ages – bounce houses, face painting, and yard games.  Door prizes will be given away and brats from McDonald Meats will be cooked and served by local Scouts, who will receive all the proceeds from the food sold that day.  Then, to close out the day of celebration, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 2:30pm.  Though, the main operations for the business will remain in their current building, another building is being constructed for storage.
