The Minnesota Vikings Foundation’s Vikings Table Food Truck made a stop in Becker last week, with RealTime Solutions hosting the truck at their business from 5 to 7 p.m.
RealTime Solutions President Mary Keske won the visit from the truck in an online auction the Vikings Foundation holds during every home game. It was the first time the Foundation’s Food Truck had been part of the auction.
Players donate items to bid on for the auctions, and all the money raised goes back to the foundation to fight childhood hunger.
The Minnesota Vikings Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to advancing the well-being of youth through engaging health and education initiatives. They, in partnership with Xcel Energy, introduced Vikings Table in May, a food truck program whose mission is to serve healthy meals and provide nutritional education to youth across the Greater Twin Cities area.
Approximately 250,0000 children in Minnesota communities miss meals during the summer months, and they’re the first generation to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents due to physical inactivity and poor nutrition.
The Minnesota Vikings Foundation provides Vikings Table as a unique way to use the Vikings brand to directly address the issue of childhood hunger in the community. The truck can be seen during tailgating events at home games, special events, and out in the community serving healthy, nutritious meals.
“Winning the visit from the food truck was important to us because we’re also involved in the community in this way,” said Cassie Yuker, RealTime Solutions human resources. “We participate in school community outreach that provides healthy meals for kids. That’s our business, so it’s near and dear to our hearts.”
During the Food Truck’s visit, RealTime Solutions held an open house for their employees and family to see their office remodel and enjoy the Vikings’ hospitality. One of the foods available from the Vikings Table Food Truck is tator tot hotdish.
RealTime Solutions has served the food industry for 25 years, delivering marketing and analysis solutions to nationwide food clients. The female-owned company, with over 50 team members, collaborates with a vast variety of food manufacturers and foodservice establishments (K-12 school districts, colleges, healthcare and restaurants) across the country.
