THE BECKER DAZZLER DANCE CAMPERS let out a “roar” after dancing to the song, I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” during June 17th’s Freedom Days event.
THE BECKER DAZZLERS put on quite a show for the fair-goers at Freedom Days a couple weekends ago as they entertained their audience with a few of their routines in their black and blue garb.

Tiny Dancers Take Spotlight At Freedom Days

The 2017-2018 Becker High School Dazzlers dance team, which will consist of 33 members this coming season, held their annual Freedom Days Dance Camp June 12-16.

This year, the camp had 29 participants ages 3-12.

The campers learned and practiced routines for four days leading up to their performance at the Freedom Days celebration.

All the dance camp participants rode on a float in the early morning parade provided by TJ Potter Trucking.  The Dazzlers  performed during the parade, dancing behind the truck.

After the parade, the Dazzlers and dance campers performed the routines they learned during camp at the stage near Nix Bar and Grill.  First up, were the youngest group of campers and their ages ranged  from preschool to first grade.

They performed their routine to the song I Just Can't Wait to Be King, ending with a crowd pleasing "roar"!

The second group of campers, ages second through sixth grade, entertained the crowd with their lively routine to Rockin' Robin.  Finishing up the day, the Dazzlers performed their routine to the song Imma Be.

After the performances, the Dazzlers hosted a dunk tank with local celebrities, such as Becker Baptist Youth Pastor Kevin Drehmel, Mary of the Visitation Youth Pastor Doug Watercott, City Council Member Lori Keller, Becker Police Chief Brent Baloun, and School Board Member Mark Swanson all taking turns as dunkees.

The Becker dance team is looking forward to their next dance camp which will be held this fall during Homecoming week.  The campers will then perform during halftime of the Becker homecoming football game.
