Sun sets for high school career of 2022 Big Lake graduating seniors

The 105th Big Lake Commencement Ceremony was held last Friday at the Big Lake High School football field. Graduating students and their families could not have asked for better weather as the sun slowly set over the 2022 senior class.

The commencement ceremony began with a recording of the high school band playing Fanfare & Processional by E. Elgar, followed by The Star Spangled Banner.

Graduating senior Olivia Stockham gave the commencement welcome. Graduating senior Ella Dotzler gave the commencement address.

A recording of Seasons of Love by Roger Emerson and performed by the high school choir was played for the enjoyment of all involved.

Former school resource officer and safety class instructor James Hintermeister offered comments and advice to the graduating class.

The Wishing Well by Rossano Galante and performed by the high school band was played.

Next came the recognition of the top honor students by high school principal Robert Dockendorf and the announcement of scholarships and acknowledgement of military service by high school assistant principal Angela Charboneau-Folch.

Students’ names were read by Brittany Koehler, and each graduating student was presented with a diploma.

With that, Principal Dockendorf was pleased to present the graduating class of 2022, and the students tossed their caps in the air.

The Patriot wishes the best of luck to this year’s graduating class. Congratulations!
