It was standing room only again at Clearview Elementary School last Friday afternoon as students and parents filed into the school gymnasium for the annual “All-School Sing”, a program of Christmas carols and holiday songs, some familiar and some new.
The program, directed and accompanied on the piano by music teacher Karen Ingeman, included performances from a number of classes, as well as many sing-along numbers with the words projected overhead.
As always, the program was opened by the youngest students, wearing their reindeer horn headgear and bright red noses as the sand Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to the delight of the audience. Other favorites on the program included Up On The Housetop, Nuttin for Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock, Joyous Hanukkah, Feliz Navidad and Frosty the Snowman.
The program also included a special number featuring Clearview teachers and staff, sung to the tune of Walking in a Winter Wonderland, but describing instead the delights of “Working in an Elementary School”.
