3 LOCAL SOLDIERS returned home Tuesday morning and were greeted with a police and fire escort from Hwy. 10 and Hancock Street schools where students stood along the road with banners and flags. SSG. Steve Popplewell (L), SPC. Nicholas Hackenmuller (M) and SGT. Jacob Polfuss (R) were then greeted at Gily’s Bar by the local color guard. Coffee and rolls were served by members of the local Beyond the Yellow Ribbon committee and the troops were given a welcome home salute by all who attended.
HUNDREDS OF MIDDLE AND INTERMEDIATE KIDS lined the streets along Bradley Blvd. to welcome home three local soldiers who recently served overseas. SSG. Steve Popplewell, SPC. Nicholas Hackenmuller and SGT. Jacob Polfuss were given a police and fire escort when their caravan arrived in Becker Tuesday morning.
