The Clear Lake Scouts held the first Scout Fun Day at Warner Park in Clearwater on Saturday, July 31.
This free event, open to all kids K-12, featured outdoor adventure and camping skills for kids from the surrounding area as well as families coming from as far Waconia (an hour’s drive) and one family stopping by on their visit from Alaska!
With stations for archery, bb-guns, nerf axe throwing, hiking, fire building and soap carving, those attending had plenty of fun activities to occupy an otherwise beautiful day at the park.
Crafts included bird house building, pin-wheel making for younger students and tye dye for those in Middle-school and up.
It was a great time and a smashing success.
For those that were unable to attend and missed the chance to learn some new outdoor skills, there will be more opportunities to explore Scouting in the Clearview community.
With the success of Scout Fun Day, the planning has already begun for Scout Fun Day 2022.
The Clear Lake Scouts will also host an informational night at Clearview Elementary on September 23, at 6:30pm.
