Like they have for the past few years, Santa and Mrs. Claus (Doc and Jane Gohman) stopped by the December get together of the Young at Heart group.

Before the Claus’ arrival guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, which included elves Becky Brzezinski and Tara Maile going from table to table offering an assortment of tasty Christmas treats.

With Ruth Ellis on the clavinova (electric piano), after lunch guests celebrated the season with a Christmas carol sing-along. They had the chance to win a number of door prizes donated by area business, and before the event concluded, each guest also received a bag of goodies from Santa.

Young at Heart meets at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater on the third Thursday of each month, with card playing beginning at 10:30 and lunch at noon, followed by a program. The group is non-denominational, and all area seniors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
