Becker High School Senior Samantha Pounds has been selected to be a member of the 2017-18 Minnesota All-State Mixed Choir.

 

Pounds recently took part in the All-State Choir Camp at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Aug. 7-12, which concluded with a choir performance in the Abbey Church on the university campus.

 

The selection process for students begins with auditions held in March each year. Annually, over 2,000 students audition for the all-state performing groups, with only a few hundred students from all over the state being selected to be a part of this elite program. 

 

Pounds will perform again at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis in February of 2018, during the Minnesota Music Educators Association Convention.
