Rosary Crusade Held In Clearwater

Last Saturday Hwy. 24 in Clearwater was host to local residents who gathered to participate in the annual Public Square Rosary Crusade.

Public Square Rosary Crusades are held every October, with groups across the country praying simultaneously for the United States and the world. The event continues to grow rapidly across the world; last year 21,500 rallies were held in the U.S. alone, this year’s goal was 23,000.

The Public Square Rosary Crusade was begun in 2007 by the America Needs Fatima (ANF) organization. Each year ANF invites groups to organize their own event on the closest Saturday to October 13, which is the feast of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the Miracle of the Sun.

Betty Eiden from St. Luke’s Catholic Church organized this year’s event.
