The Becker Robotics team is putting in a lot of extra hours getting their competition robot done for upcoming regionals.
Last Friday, Becker hosted a build gathering and small scrimmage with Elk River, Milaca and Delano. Jonathan Stratis, mentor for FRC Team 2177, webmaster for MN First Regional website and lead robot inspector for Minnesota regionals and state championships was on hand in Becker to help answer any questions and do a preliminary inspection of each team’s robot.
Becker’s technical engineering team has been working long and hard on the programming of the practice robot to make things perfect for implementation in the competition robot. All the functions are working properly, so far, and the team’s current focus is to tweak the small things.
With the electrical team, they have completed all their work on the practice robot and as soon as the competition robot build is complete, they will be moving all the electrical to that machine.
The marketing team is working fast and furiously to get the advertising done for the regional event. They have submitted awards submissions for the entrepreneurship award, the chairman’s award and have finished image boards and shields.
The website team has also made great strides in getting the website current and functional.
The build team plans to have the shooter function of the competition robot finished soon along with polishing up a few bits and pieces to get it ready for the bag-and-tag.
