With a short agenda, the Santiago Twp. Board of Supervisors breezed through their meeting Wednesday night.
Road Report
Supervisor Dave Jehoich updated the board on township road conditions. A major problem was discovered on Snake River Road at 62nd Street; there are deep holes on it where the culvert is placed. The area has been filled in but the road can’t be repaired until next spring as the water is too deep.
The road had been scheduled to be seal coated, however the company doing the project fell too far behind due to the weather and can’t complete the project until spring. Until that time the township will keep an eye on the area to make sure it doesn’t collapse further.
A discussion was held on the dispute with Becker Twp. regarding their refusal to pay the portion of the bill for ditch work done on their side of the shared township road. It was decided to get everything in writing from this point on so there will be no future disputes.
A deputy will talk with the resident who has been tearing up 155th.
