It is advised for parents to use the main high school entrance (Door 11) for student drop-off and pick-up.
For student parking, students need permits to park on campus during the school year. Permits are $50. Parking permits can be purchased in the BHS attendance office and also online beginning Aug. 26. Student parking spaces and permits are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Cooperation with this policy will be appreciated. For complete details, see the high school webpage.
For attendance, parents, are asked to ensure student’s attendance record is accurate by contacting the school in regards to excusing ones child from school and providing a reason for the absence. The preferred method is a phone call the morning of the absence so the school can immediately enter the absence and maintain an accurate record. Research indicates a high correlation between regular school attendance and academic success.
As part of the school’s continued efforts to ensure the physical, social and emotional well-being of all students, a wellness center is available at Becker High School. The wellness center is staffed daily with professional therapist/counselors to aid students dealing with mental health issues. Students must be referred prior to having access to the wellness center. Talk to a school counselor or Assistant Principal Brian Baloun, for more information.
