The Pebble Creek Women’s Club Birdies & Bogeys for Becker Backpack Buddies golf event taking place Tues., July 28 includes many activities open to the public.

 

The event is open to the public from 4-9 p.m. and includes a variety of exciting activities including, Great River Spine & Sport massages, a putting contest, the Pebble Creek Boutique featuring women’s clothing, footwear, bags and accessories, games, a 50+ item silent auction, a prize raffle offering chances to win great items such as a GoPro Hero 4 camera and an awards dinner (preregistration is required - contact PCWC Tournament Chairwoman Bettina Potter at www.bpotter1984@yahoo.com if interested).

 

Ladies interested in golfing in the nine-hole golf scramble which has a shot-gun start at 5:15, should also contact Bettina Potter.

 

Last year, more than 75 ladies participated in the event which raised over $4,000 for the Becker Backpack Buddies program. All of the money raised in 2014 was used to purchase food for kids from Becker’s four schools, serving more than 200 children.

 

“We would like to recognize the sponsors who have donated items, sponsored holes and provided gift certificates for the silent auction and door prize raffles,” said Potter.  “Exciting items, such as a GoPro Hero 4 camera, a 50” HD flat screen TV, earrings, sports items (autographed) and tickets from the Minnesota pro sports teams will be available for bid and raffle.”

“I am so proud to be part of the golfing community that has been extremely supportive of this event,” said Potter.  “To date, we have golf rounds donated from over 20 golf courses across Minnesota.
