More than 75 ladies participated in the event which raised over $4,000 for the Becker Backpack Buddies program.

 

“It was an amazing day of wonderful golf and giving and we are so proud to have been able to raise money that we know will truly make a difference for kids in our Becker community,” said Kathy Hollenhorst, Pebble Creek Women’s Club President. “Our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors and to the many participants and volunteers who helped make the event so successful.”

 

The event included a nine-hole golf tournament, awards dinner, silent auction, quilt raffle, general door prize raffle and shopping at the Pebble Creek Boutique consignment shop. The event also included a display and presentation from representatives from South Santiago Lutheran Church and the Becker Backpack Buddies program on how the money raised that night would be used. “Having a contribution of over $4,000 is a huge blessing to the program,” said Sara Gallus from South Santiago Lutheran Church. “All of the money will be used to purchase food for kids right here in the four Becker schools, and given that we serve more than 200 kids each week – this money will go a long way to truly make a difference for many families in the coming school year.” 

 

“We are so grateful to the Pebble Creek Women’s Club for hosting this event and for your generous donation,” Sara added. “Because of all of you, many families in Becker will be impacted in such a positive way and I know I speak for them when I say thank you for your support!”
