New Helicopters Increase Speed And Provide Highest Standards Of Safety

Life Link III, which provides helicopter emergency transportation for CentraCare Health, has purchased six new helicopters — one to operate at each of their bases, plus a system spare, to ensure delivery of the highest quality of transport care.

In the new aircraft, Life Link III can get to patients faster, transport them to the necessary level of care in less time, and continue to provide the highest quality critical care en route. The high-tech Garmin G1000H avionics system with synthetic vision and satellite weather reporting provides pilots with greater situational awareness, enhancing the safety on every flight. As a Level II Trauma Center, St. Cloud Hospital averages more than 700 helicopter landings each year; CentraCare Health has more than 775 as a system.
