Becker resident and graduate Merideth Messman will be releasing her fourth fantasy book in April.
Writing Fantasy
Messman has been a fantasy fan all her life, enjoying books such as Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. She began writing novels when she was only 18 years old.
In 2017, Messman self-published her first book, Saylon Awakening, under the pen name MM Sudie. The story is about a country girl named Aurora, who is suddenly forced to take a quest to save her own life. The book is the first of the Mark of Brikyif series.
Messman says that she drew inspiration for Aurora’s adventures from her own experiences camping out as a kid with her girl scout troop.
Pen Name
Messman has published all of her novels under the pen name MM Sudie. The pen name is a play on her real name, Merideth Sudie Messman. She says her middle name was her great grandma’s name, and so it had a lot of meaning to her.
New Release
Messman is very excited to announce the release of her newest novel. Messman’s new book, Wamtell Dawn Halo, is the fourth novel in the Mark of Brikyif series. Protagonist Aurora is fighting to save the frozen nation of Wamtell from the Warlocks of Andor. The book will be available April 5 in ebook and hardcover formats. Pre-ordering is available now at MMSudie.com.
Support the Author
Messman encourages anyone who would like to support her to check out her Facebook Page at Facebook.com/Brikyif, go to her website at MMSudie.com, and to order ebooks or hardcover books from her website.
Messman is currently working to make her books available at bookstores, and she hopes to be able to continue to attend events such as the Renaissance Fair and book fairs to promote her work, once those events open up again.
