Wednesday, Nov. 7, the public has an opportunity to learn more about mental health during the free Mental Health & Wellness Fair community event being held at Becker High School.
From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the high school commons, over a dozen organizations will be available with resources and information on mental health, domestic violence, sexual assault, chemical dependency and more.
At 6:30 p.m., Reggie Dabbs will be giving a presentation in the performing arts center. Called the number one public school speaker in America by major news media, Dabbs speaks humorously on the hurts, pressures and choices faced by young people every day.
His message of, “you can’t change your past, but you can change your future,” is about making the right choices and bringing hope into their lives.
Dabbs will also be speaking to Becker students earlier in the day. The event is sponsored by Becker area churches.
