Workshop
• Began the 2020 Budget conversation…staff has been working on the preliminary for quite some time. Primary conversation arose around COLA increase for staff. Set a special workshop meeting for August 4th;
• Reviewed the proposed guidelines for Small Cell Facilities. We all agreed that we would like to keep them as discreet as possible;
• Councilmember Zettervall brought up doing a second ATV parade as the first one was a tremendous success…total agreement by Council. Stay tuned for details.
Regular Council Meeting
• Recognized Joe Brenteson (Public Works), Nic Prigge (Police Dept), Clay Wilfahrt (City Administrator) for 5 Years of Service;
• Recognized Stacey Fox (Administration) and Gina Wolbeck (City Clerk) for 20 years of Service;
• Recognized Laurie Morris (Police Dept) for 20 years of Service and acknowledged her retirement…We wish her many years of enjoyment;
• Approved the Preliminary Plat, Conditional Use Permit and Site Plan for Nystrom and Associates new facility. They are a great neighbor and we are looking forward to their new facility;
• Clay Wilfahrt presented the Framework 2030 Regional Planning Process and Resolution of Understanding. Passed with unanimous support…this started as a new bridge crossing group a few years back;
• Hanna Klimmek presented our COVID-19 Emergency Grant Program aimed primarily at small businesses. Both the Policy and Application were approved.
• Heard monthly reports from Lake Liquors, Finance and Community Development.
