Last Sunday, Becker Evangelical Free Church decided to “Worship with their Hands”!  Rather than having their typical worship service, they sent teams of people to seven sites in the Becker community to serve and to give back to the people they love. “We wanted to actually serve like Jesus did, rather than just talk about it,” Patrick Drury, senior pastor at BEFC said.

 

“As God revealed local needs to us, we just built teams from there.”

 

All in all, approximately 140 people visited seven sites, including the American Legion building, River’s Edge RV park and a few homes.  They also filled a pickup with trash cleaned up along the roads and some of our local parks.

 

“The Great Commission calls us to help others to follow Jesus, but Jesus also speaks of Great Compassion, touching the needs around us,” Pastor Drury said.  “We just want to live as Jesus lived.”
