And two makes four!
Seth and Nicole Hubbard of Becker found out in late March that they were having twins. Earlier this week, they held a gender reveal party live on Facebook just north of Becker at Seth’s sister’s home.
Both Seth and Nicole are avid hunters and spend many weekends up at the family cabin in northern Minnesota. So they decided to have the gender reveal done in a hunting theme.
Two large balloons were filled with colored confetti by Seth’s sister, Kendra just hours before the event and right after Kendra received the sealed envelopes from Nicole’s doctor following the ultrasound earlier in the day. Keeping the secret for just a few hours was agonizing for Kendra.
As Seth and Nicole — she showing a baby bump in her midriff — stood several yards away from the large balloons, they each aimed their hunting bows at separate tethered balloons and simultaneously released their arrows. As the balloons burst in the air, a cloud of pink and a cloud of blue confetti filled the air and everyone erupted in cheers and tears.
Friends and family attending the event were Tony and Sherry Hubbard (Seth’s parents), Haley Hubbard (Seth’s sister), Grant and Kendra Orrock (Seth’s sister and brother-in-law w/children Raylin & Reed), Shane and Erika Gearen w/son Barrett (friends of the couple), Blake and Lucy Schmidt w/daughter Hailey (friends of the couple) and Joan Tamm (Seth’s Grandmother).
The babies are due in November.
With bow opener in mid-September, Nicole is hoping she can maybe sneak in a night up in the stand before the littles arrive in November.
