Founded in 1972, the Sherburne County Historical Society is a vibrant 501(c)3 non-profit organization charged with preserving, protecting, and presenting the history of Sherburne County. For nearly fifty years, SHC has been creating and presenting exhibits and programs throughout the county.
Their current facility in Becker opened in 2006. Every year, their reach grows thanks to a variety of educational exhibit displays, community events, and internet platforms.
The Sherburne County Historical Society is seeking candidates to fill open seats on the Board of Directors of the Sherburne History Center. Board members have a unique opportunity to shape the culture and community of Sherburne County.
SHC’s board members:
• Serve 3-year terms;
• Meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the History Center in Becker;
• Oversee policy and procedures at the Sherburne History Center;
• Assist with fundraising activities;
• Help develop and promote SHC programs and exhibits.
