Supporters of the Sherburne Co. History Center spent last Saturday enjoying an evening of food, raffles and live music at the Center’s annual Autumn Lights Fundraiser.
Held at the Pebble Creek Golf Club, the event featured live music by guitarists Cliff Crockford and John Seppanen, and numerous donated raffle prizes. Guests dined on pasta, salad and breadsticks, with a choice of cake for dessert.
After the meal, Sherburne Co. Historical Society Executive Director Mike Brubaker welcomed guests and thanked them for their support of the Sherburne Co. History Center. He then began the raffle, with ticket holders happily calling out when their numbers were drawn.
The raffle consisted of a number of great prizes, including a pair of club seat tickets to the Vikings-Lions game on Dec. 8, gift certificates and a gift certificate tree, which was a live tree with a variety of gift certificates hanging from its branches.
Remaining tickets were then added together for the final drawing of a beautiful handmade quilt.
“It was a good evening for everyone involved,” said Brubaker. “And it was a lot of fun.”
He expressed thanks to all the event’s supporters, including table sponsors Sherburne State Bank, Liberty Paper, Inc., Bob & Judy’s Farm Market and the Citizen-Tribune.
“We appreciate all our wonderful supporters for the evening,” said Brubaker. “We really couldn’t function without everybody that was there helping us out.”
