Grandma D celebrates 95 years!

Big Lake resident Darlene Lanz recently turned 95. Darlene owned the Coffee Cup in Becker from September 1978 to September 1985.

Darlene has been very active in her community her entire life. She is a member of Saron Lutheran Church, a member of the Big Lake Legion Auxiliary, the Quilting Club and currently serves as president of the Big Lake Senior Club.

Darlene earned the nickname “Grandma D” from a few of her young great, grand daughters who couldn’t pronounce Darlene.

Darlene has four children, 10 grandchildren,14 great grandchildren and one great great, grand child and two more on the way! Darlene also has two deceased grand daughters.
