Faith Lutheran of Becker was able to partner with Mary of the Visitation Big Lake/Becker to provide a week of VBS to children in the Becker area. 

 

“We were happy to provide a non-denominational environment for children to learn,” said Katie Meyer, director of VBS. 

 

Pastor Julie Anderson, along with many volunteers, helped teach the children through Bible stories, games, crafts, and music. Fun and tasty snacks were shared every day as well.

 

Each day groups were led through a session related to a bible point centered on unique events. By Thursday, the children were ready to share the energetic songs they had learned during the week. 

 

“It was an amazing success,” said Meyer. “We were happy to join with another church to create a wonderful experience for everyone.” 

 

Meyer said volunteers were able to share and recycle decorations from a local 4-H club and local churches. 

 

“VBS is a very special experience that can create memories that last a lifetime,” she said. “We could not provide such an experience without amazing volunteers.”
