Full House For Senior Picnic

The Freedom Days picnic sponsored by the Becker Area Senior Center (BASC) drew a capacity crowd to Kolbinger Park Tuesday afternoon, with a capacity crowd on hand to enjoy a menu of fried chicken and potato salad along with a chance to visit with friends and neighbors while dining.

BASC member Carol Kufner estimated 60 people had taken part in the event, “about double” the number that attended the event in 2014.

After the luncheon was over, the attendees were able to enjoy the bright sunny day as they sat in chairs out on the lawn to listen to K.W. Wegman play his guitar and sing a selection of country music from his new CD titled “Country Memories.”
