The Sherburne History Center is hosting the first annual Sherburne Fall Fest Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Sherburne Fall Fest is a community event co-hosted by The Becker Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sherburne History Center. Join in on the fun at the History Center for a two-mile fun run/walk, a chili cook-off, family games, live music, homemade baked goods, Lions beer garden and more!

Fun Run/Walk

The fun run/walk will happen at the Oak Savanna Park in Becker. Bring the kids and bring the (leashed) dog for full enjoyment.  All entrants receive a Fall Fest t-shirt and refreshments are provided.  Use the coupon code SAVE10 and receive $10 off an adult entry.  Code expires soon, so go to the Becker Area Chamber’s website to sign up now.  (https://beckerchamber.org/events/)

Chili Cook-off

The chili cook-off begins at 11 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 chili recipes. (Winners announced at 1:15pm.)

To enter the contest, (red chilis only) contestants should bring two, six-quart slow cookers of chili (equal to three gallons). Contestants are REQUIRED to bring their own extension cord and ladle/spoon. Power and outlets, tables, tablecloth, taster cups and taster spoons will be provided.

(Optional: Contestants can provide sides to serve with their chili (crackers, cheese, etc.)

Contestants are responsible for transportation and food safety practices. Contestants MUST have their chili ready to serve by 11a.m. Set up time begins at 10:00 a.m. Contestants MUST pre-register to make sure we have a table ready for each entry.
