St. Cloud Area School Board approved at the July 21, 2021 school board meeting combining Apollo and Tech co-op teams for the upcoming school year for Girls Tennis, Girls Softball, Girls Basketball, Boys Baseball and Boys Tennis. The teams are being organized to maintain healthy, thriving activities at both high schools in order to be competitive in conference level activities while still offering three levels of teams so that students are safe and successful when competing.

A committee of coaches, parents and students has recommended branding of the coop teams as “St. Cloud Crush” with identifying colors of orange and blue. The name recognizes the history and importance of granite in the community.

The Board of Education also approved at the Wednesday meeting renewal of the district’s membership in the Minnesota State High School League. (MSHSL)
