My recent article in “The Citizen” incorrectly stated that Minnesota Marine Charles Lindberg of Richfield had been present at the second flag raising on Iwo Jima in the famous photo by Joe Rosenthal.  Several Marine Corps. veterans have since noted that Lindberg was indeed present at the first flag raising on Mt. Suribachi during that battle.
