The Coffee Cup Restaurant has new owners!
Karen and Nagy Attia of Champlin purchased the building from Virgil Gilyard and hope to open the restaurant under a new name by mid-October.
The Attias have been very busy this week gutting the restaurant and re-doing the roof. The Attias were once proud owners of the Old Main Eatery on Jackson Ave. in Elk River.
Darlene Lanz of Big Lake owned the Coffee Cup Cafe during the 1970’s and 80’s. The restaurant saw numerous other owners try and make the business a success until Gilyard took over and had run it for the last 15+ years.
The restaurant was listed at $279,000 and seated 102 people with an occupancy load of 150. The building is situated on .55 acres along Hwy. 10.
