Clear Valley Business Connections (CVBC) is organizing the first ever business expo for the Clearwater and Clear Lake area Sunday, April 2 at the Clearwater American Legion.
“We’re always looking at what more we can do for businesses in the area,” said CVBC President Lori Johnson. “This event is for the community at large to meet and get to know local business owners and what they have to offer, as well as promote shopping local.”
The expo will feature raffles and prizes, and businesses will be promoting themselves as well as any positions they may be hiring for. A representative from CVBC will also be in attendance for anyone with questions on the organization.
Currently 15 local businesses are signed up for the Explore Clearwater/Clear Lake Business Expo, and CVBC Secretary Jenny Massmann stressed there’s still time for interested businesses to sign up. Tables are free for CVBC members; nonmembers can purchase a table for $50, which also covers an annual membership to the organization.
The Clearwater Legion will be hosting an omelet breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon the day of the expo, so attendees are encouraged to support both events.

CVBC began in 1987 and includes businesses from the cities of Clearwater and Clear Lake, and Clearwater, Clear Lake and Lynden Townships. The mission of the organization is to promote area businesses and provide an environment for them to communicate and network.
