The Explore Clearwater/Clear Lake Business Expo is coming back Sunday, May 2, and participating businesses are excited to share who they are with the community. The event will once again be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the back of the Clearwater American Legion.
Hosted by Clear Valley Business Connection (CVBC), organizers are looking forward to a good crowd, posting signage around Clearwater and Clear Lake and running ads in the Patriot. The annual event was started by the business organization to promote shopping local.
“We’re excited to bring the expo back to the community,” said event organizer and CVBC Vice President Lori Johnson. “And we’re excited to see everyone in person again.”
Along with learning about local businesses, the community will have the chance to bring home freebies, purchase merchandise, and sign up for raffles and prizes. Employment opportunities may also be featured by businesses looking to hire.
To date, there are a wide variety of businesses taking part in the event, including some that have participated since the beginning and some that are just taking part this year. Attendees will have the chance to talk to local retail and financial establishments as well as faith and community organizations like the Clearwater Library and the CVBC itself.
There’s still time for interested businesses to sign up. Tables are free for CVBC members; nonmembers can purchase a table for $50, which also covers an annual membership to the organization.
The expo is running concurrently with the Clearwater Legion’s Sunday breakfast, which will be served from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The breakfasts have just started up again, and attendees are encouraged to support both events.
