It was a beautiful day for Clearwater Travel Plaza’s popular Party on the Patio, an eagerly awaited annual event held to celebrate veterans, customers, and their employees.

Held last week, the party began with 23 motorcycles ridden by Clearwater Legion Riders, St. Augusta Legion Riders, and the River Riders escorting 44 veterans from the St. Cloud VA to the Patio Party, where, flanked by the Legion Color Guard, all vets in attendance were then invited to walk the red carpet and be recognized.

From there the party took off with games, fundraising for the VA Recreation Dept., music, and employee recognitions.

The biggest draw, as always, was the free food and beverages generously provided by the Plaza. Attendees filled their plates with burgers and brats, chips and cookies. A separate ice cream station was also set up for those who wanted a little extra, as well as a cash bar for those looking for something stronger than pop or water.

All proceeds from the annual event benefit the St. Cloud VA Medical Center.
