A man from Clearwater was critically injured in an automobile accident on Hwy. 95 near Duelm last Saturday night.

Allen Newman, 79, rear-ended a truck that was heading west on Hwy. 95 and making a left turn onto Benton Co. Road 7. He received life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital.

The passengers in the truck, 29-year-old driver Scott Lampman and 24-year-old passenger Ashelli Lampman from Becker, weren’t injured.

A second Clearwater man was also injured in a crash last Saturday. Jesse Zeman, 74, was driving a motorcycle, and Arturo Cena of Sioux Falls, SD, 60, was driving a truck; both were headed south on Hwy. 15 north of I-94 when the accident happened.

Zeman was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Alcohol was not a factor in either accident.
