Clearview ‘Sing’ Starts The Holiday Break

Clearview Elementary School students and staff headed for the gymnasium Tuesday afternoon for the traditional “School Sing” program of Holiday music that signals the start of the Christmas break each year.

The program was primarily a group sing-along this year, featuring some old favorites at the school such as “Nuttin’ for Christmas (Somebody Snitched on Me,” the classic “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Feliz Navidad” (with a violin solo), “Joyous Hanukah” with student percussionists, the Holiday favorite “Rusty Chevrolet” by the Upper Michigan band “The Yoopers”, “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and closing with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

The program also included the presentation of bouquets of flowers to two educators the students elected to honor this year, media para-professional Rachel Kimmerle and third-grade teacher Jonette Tschida.
