Clearview ‘Rounds Up’ New Kindergartners

Clearview Elementary held their annual Kindergarten Roundup April 21, with 76 new students signed up to attend. The event is held for children who will be five years old by Sept. 1 of this year and are ready to attend kindergarten classes.

Throughout the event children were welcomed into Clearview and invited to visit the kindergarten classes to see all the exciting things that will be waiting for them next fall. In the classrooms they were able to talk to the teachers, check out all the materials, and sit at a desk to write or color.

Student council members were on hand to take the new students and their families on a tour of Clearview, and everyone was encouraged to take a short bus ride.

Emmaline B. said she was excited to start kindergarten because she’ll learn more Spanish. Alizandra H. was excited because she just likes school. Her mom said they had heard such wonderful things about Clearview that they decided to open enroll their daughter there from Otsego.

Clearview will be taking enrollments for the 2016/2017 school year throughout the summer. Information and forms can be found under the district’s webpage at www.isd742.org or by visiting the Welcome Center at Midtown Square in St. Cloud.
