Clearview Hosts ‘Welcome Back’ Evening

Staff and teachers were on hand Tuesday afternoon for the first-ever “Welcome Back” event at Clearview Elementary School in Clear Lake.

Delays in the massive construction project at the school this summer had led to the cancellation of the annual Open House event at the school before the first day of classes on Mon., Aug. 31. The event this week combined all of those activities, which included a chance for parents to meet teachers and tour classrooms, as well as taking care of “housekeeping” details like lunch accounts and bus services, and signing up for various after-school activities.

Principal Sheri Rutar and staff from the school district office in St. Cloud also met with the parents of sixth-grade students to go over the rules and regulation for the iPads® that those students are being issued.

Finishing touches to the new gymnasium and the kitchens were still underway this week, with completion anticipated very shortly.
