Clearview Celebrates With Cinco De Mayo Family Fun Night

Kids, parents, staff and volunteers filled Clearview Elementary last Friday for the school’s annual Cinco de Mayo Family Fun Night.

Popular activities at the event were dancing, face painting, wacky hairstyles, nail painting, crafts and the cakewalk. Games included a lollipop tree, Frisbee toss, bingo, duck pond, bowling and pop bottle toss.

The event featured a taco and nacho bar, which was so popular with attendees they ran out of food just before the end of the evening.

Forty-six Tech High School volunteers and one from Becker Middle School helped run the games and serve food.

The school had great support from the community, with sponsors including Coborn’s, Lee & Friends and The Kettle from Clearwater, Clear Lake Amoco, Bernicks, Mexican Village, Bravo Burritos, Gilibertos Mexican Taco Shop, Performance Food Group, Geyer Rental, District 742 food service, Katie Neumann & family and the cooks from Clearview.

Clearview’s Cinco de Mayo Family Fun Night is an annual event held to bring the Clearview community together to celebrate and just have fun.
